if “the last thing

if “the last thing
I want
to do
is
upset you”
does
that mean
“I want to
upset you,
after
I’m done with
all my other
projects?”

I think it means: I want to upset you, and then die, because after I have upset you, then my life will be…..complete.

I think it means “I want to upset you at my leisure, so I will have the chance to really enjoy it.”

i think it means: you mean so little to me, your very existence is so trivial, and you are such an afterthought, that on a list of all human endeavors, activities, actions, and biological functions, the very last item on that list would be to upset you. which, in a sense, is anti-thetical to the proposition, and thus cause for great wonder.
